Rev. Dr. Giovanni Arroyo is the recently elected General Secretary of the Commission on Religion and Race. He is the first Hispanic/Latino in the denomination’s history to serve in this position. He is responsible for overseeing resources of the agency worldwide and all the administrative, programmatic initiatives addressing racism, tribalism, diversity, inclusion and other forms of isms. He is an Elder and currently serves in the Baltimore/Washington Annual Conference. For Rev. Dr. Giovanni the most important in the midst of all his journey is to love the people and be in relationship with the people.
